Building a Musical Foundation

Nurturing young minds through music literacy

The Philosophy
All students can possess the ability to have unlimited potential. This statement sits as the core foundation to Teaching Music Literacry to Children. The three artistic processes of Creating, Performing and Responding to music requires student to be proficient in their ability to read musical print and to have solid music aural literacy skills in order to find joy in music making.
The Method
This sequential method focuses on teaching students to read musical print as well as developing powerful aural skills using   solfege. The fusion of solfege with absolute pitch does not occur until proficiency in reading music print along with sight reading and dictations skills of diatonic major and minor are at an age appropriate level.
